Winery – Altesino: The Altesino winery in the early 1970s inserted modern entrepreneurship into the economic fabric of Montalcino, enabling the establishment of a new way of making and conceiving wine. In addition to Sangiovese di Montalcino, which makes up most of the plantings, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Trebbiano and Malvasia, Vermentino, Chardonnay and Viognier are produced.
