The “Guiry” signed by Tenuta Biodinamica Mara is a pure Sangiovese grown on the hills of Rimini. The grapes are processed in the vineyard following the principles of biodynamic agriculture, so as to be able to tell with lively fidelity the territorial identity from which healthy and ripe bunches are born. We are faced with a label that respects nature, in which the balance of aromas and flavours on the nose and in the mouth makes the whole tasting experience a pleasant one. A bottle that is already tasty today, but which can also mature for a few more years, so that it can be tasted in a more evolved guise.

The winter of 1998 was characterized by heavy rainfall, followed by a slightly cooler early spring than in previous years. In May, flowering of the vines occurred evenly and the summer gave sunny weather. The vineyards were thus able to develop under the best conditions, decreeing excellent veraison. With the harvest, grapes were picked in excellent condition, undergoing ripening processes that decreed an excellent homogeneity, as well as the quality that today distinguishes the 1998 vintage of Ornellaia.
2018 represents another successful vintage to extol all the virtues of Bolgheri’s climate: abundant sunshine and not excessive heat that allow the grapes to reach a perfect level of ripeness and concentration. The result is a ripe and opulent wine, as well as intense, aromatic, juicy and brilliant.
The 2019 vintage was characterized by highly variable weather, with periods of cold and rain and phases of dryness and heat. But the end of September saw a drop in temperatures that allowed the grapes to preserve finesse and aromatic freshness, which underwent a soft crushing.
Each variety was vinified separately and the wine remained in temperature-controlled barriques for a period of about 18 months. A slow and genuine process that gives the wine unique notes of quality.
